2018 King Limits Announced

By Steve Cockrell, Posted 3/14/2018

Good news on the king salmon front: The Alaska Department of Fish and Game has announced the sport-fishing limits for the 2018 season, which, for nonresidents angling in Waterfall Resort waters, will remain one king daily, 28 inches or longer. In June, annual possession limits will be three fish; in July and August, one fish annually.

Overall, the new ADFG limits reinforce the forecast of a solid king salmon fishing season ahead—always a welcome prediction for our guests. And for the record, while kings in our fishing grounds average 14 to 17 pounds, last year’s King of Kings tournament winner reeled in a 53.5-pounder.
