Cheesy Halibut Melt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cheese Sauce

    1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cheese, milk, and butter.
    2. Stir gently until fully melted and smooth.
    3. Add spices and adjust consistency with additional milk if needed.
    4. Keep warm over low heat until ready to serve.

    Halibut Salad & Toast

    1. In a mixing bowl, combine all halibut salad ingredients and mix well. Set aside.
    2. Preheat a skillet (cast iron works best).
    3. Lightly spread mayonnaise on both sides of each sourdough slice.
    4. Toast in the skillet until golden brown on both sides.

    To Serve

    1. Place toasted sourdough on a plate.
    2. Layer with sliced tomato, then top with approximately 5 ounces of halibut salad.
    3. Spoon warm cheese sauce over the top and serve immediately.
