Geared Up for Adventure, Alaska-Style
Our guide service and the use of all bait, tackle, and all-weather gear is included in your Waterfall Resort Alaska fishing adventure, and we fish no more than four guests to a boat to ensure the best sport-fishing experience.
“The resort has such commitment and discipline to getting everything right—it’s like going fishing with the Blue Angels of boats and guides.”
—John Crowle, Danville, California
The Largest Private Fleet in Alaska
Each of our 27 custom-designed, North River cabin cruisers is built for safety, performance, comfort, and convenience. Features include heated cabins, air-suspension seats, powerful fuel-injected outboards, and a full complement of Furuno marine electronics.
Upon arrival, you’re assigned a boat and guide for the duration of your stay, and our U.S. Coast Guard licensed guides are trained in working with guests of any skill level.
Fishing Gear and Equipment
Our top priority is your satisfaction and comfort, and we make sure that you’re equipped with all the bait, tackle, and all-weather gear you may need while fishing with us at Waterfall Resort, including:
- G. Loomis rods and Shimano reels
- Maxima fishing line and Eagle Claw hooks
- Helly Hansen bib overalls and hooded jackets
- XtraTuf waterproof neoprene boots
Our guests tend to favor “mooching” with a four-ounce banana sinker, dragging a medium-size cut-plug herring and working the entire water column. With mooching, the aim is to keep your bait spinning. Your guide will advise on variables like wind, sun, depth, and water current.
