One of the most rewarding aspects of your Alaskan fishing trip is enjoying your catch when you get home. Our dedicated, on-site professional fish processing team cleans, cuts, flash freezes and vacuum packs your catch for the ultimate in freshness.
Fish Preparation:

Once you’ve lured your catch to the boat, your job is done!
Not sure which cut to choose? Your boat guide is not only an experienced mariner and navigation expert but also well versed in the wide variety of fish processing options at Waterfall Resort. Feel free to ask your guide for advice.
On departure day, fish boxes accompany guests as baggage and travel under Alaska Airlines weight restrictions. If you are not going home after your stay at the Resort, the crew can recommend convenient freezer storage facilities at an airport nearby or arrange for future delivery.
Fish Mounting:

If you catch your dream fish and want it mounted, our staff will prepare it for shipment and refer you to an experienced taxidermist.

In the early 1900's, Waterfall was the largest salmon packing plant on the west coast of Prince of Wales Island. Like most canneries in Alaska, this remote operation on the Ulloa Channel was a complete, self- sufficient, temporary community. When the season was over, all but a few workers departed until the next summer's migration.
