Waterfall’s Staff works diligently year round to ensure that our Guests return home each season with filled fish boxes, exciting fish stories and thrilling adventures of a lifetime! Our loyal and dedicated Staff is one of the reasons for the high-ratio of our return guests each season. For the loyalty of our Staff and Guests, we are grateful and continually strive toward the high standard of excellence that we establish for ourselves each summer.

Welcome to our New Chef & Staff!
We recruited a new culinary team led by Executive Chef Michael Vogler. Chef Mike did a fine job of training a largely new staff, and his food received favorable comments from our guests. Mike made this transition seamless and we look forward to even better results now that he has this first season under his belt. Did you try his Seafood Chowder?! If you didn’t, be sure to discover it next season! It’s an epicurean highlight and we have received many requests for the recipe. We will be posting his World-famous Seafood Recipe in the Blog.  It will become a family tradition!

Waterfall Anniversaries!
Of course what really sets Waterfall apart from other resorts is that loyalty as well as the longevity of our staff. Many of our team members have been with us for 10, 15, even 20 years. In fact two of our guides, Cary Rasmussen and Ken Mayer, celebrated 25 years of service in 2010. Other notable anniversaries this year included Sean Roberts and Mike Schaefer, 15 years, and our Lagoon Saloon bartender extraordinaire, Ron Koch, has been with us for 20 years. This amount of experience creates stability and consistency that other resorts just cannot duplicate.

Welcome Back!
In 2010 we welcomed back some familiar faces. Everet Athorpe and Jon Janske rejoined our guide crew after being gone for several years. Many of our loyal guests, particularly Bill Buckner, were pleased to see these veteran guides return. We anticipate that both Everet and Jon will be back for 2011. Over the past few years we also have been able to utilize seasoned guides such as Rizwan Sheikh, Wayne Wu, and Rich Rogers on a part-time basis.
